Summary: Information and issues regarding gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale formation

This team is so members can share information and discuss projects and actions happening in the Marcellus Shale formation.

The Marcellus formation is located in the Appalachian Basin and part of the Devonian black shales. It stretches from New York through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia

Our Projects

This team is part of an overall coordinated effort on non-traditional gas drilling.

I am looking for someone who would be willing to keep Marcellus Shale Gas Drilling blog section of this team updated. One item which can be added to the blog each week would be the PA Chapter's Marcellus drilling news email, which is sent via the hydrofracking team's listserv and the PA chanters' oil and gas committee. It takes about 5 minutes per week to add this to the blog section, and can quickly walk anyone through the process. So if someone can spare 5 to 15 min a week it would be greatly appreciated!
