Join our movement with Texas Chapter Alamo Group,to support our cause against Dos Republicas proposed coal strip mines in Maverick County.The coal mine promises enviromental destruction,endangerment of our fauna such as jagaurindi and ocelot,it also will bring pollution problems to our enviroment both water,air,and noise.Please support our movement against Dos Republicas Coal mines in Eagle Pass Texas.Dos Republicas Coal Partnership owned by mexican mining,and metal companies,plans to operate a coal strip mine 3 miles north of Eagle Pass,Tx Maverick County.The coal strip mine will operate on a Rio Grande tributary known as Elm Creek just north of the city of Eagle Pass intake water pumps that supply the city's and the next door city,Piedras Negras Coahuila Mexico water for agriculture,comercial,ranch,and residential purposes.The opening of this coal mine will damage the ecosystem,killing trees,endangering the already endangered ocelot and jaguarindi,and the diverse birds and animals that dwell in the area.Water pollution will be a common factor,along with dust pollution.The coal will be transported to Mexico's coal fired power plants in Nava Coahuila Mexico,Carbon 1 and 2,these plants are a major factor for air pollution in the Big Bend Region,and Texas,and they supply Mexico's 11% total energy.The coal mines mostly will not benefit anyone,nor the enviroment,but the political and money whims of those who are rich investors and political leaders.Our kids and their kids should Not suffer these consequences.It's Time to Take a stand Against Dos Republicas Coal Mines.By Lynn Balderas
