Crack Frack Export Team

Summary: We are a Rocky Mountain regional team focused on fighting renegade fracking, LNG export, and new pipelines; and on educating Club Members, the public, and policy-makers on these fossil-fuel abuses and the clean-energy future we need.

The Cross-Rockies Activist Coalition to Kill Renegade Fracking & LNG Export

The Crack Frack Export Team is a regional team of Club Members and allies who understand:

• the health and economic dangers of fracking;

• the dangers to energy security and increased costs to U.S. gas users that LNG export would create;

• the local and ecosystem destruction that new pipelines would create;

• how to educate Members, the public, and policy makers on costs and dangers; and

• how to incorporate education for a clean-energy future into fighting these fossil-fuel abuses.

Our goal is to unify across the Rockies to fight renegade fracking and LNG export together.

We believe in using formal campaign training, providing substantive education on the issues, and understanding the interactions across Chapter and state boundaries.

We are creating educational and outreach materials for planning and organizing against fossil fuels and for renewable energy and sustainable jobs.

Our Projects

We're beginning by mobilizing activists across the Rockies to link up. So our first project is to notify folks who care!

Please help us spread the word about this team, and we'll put together strategy and action work step by step.

We are stronger if we unify. Fighting state by state against Big Oil is tough, so we need folks with global understanding, local energy, and positive vision. Please join here, and contact our docent for your specific goals and skills to be blended in to our work.

Export/LNG depends on how fast and the primary market focus will be JAPAN for the NorthSlopeGas and OrgeonGas. The LA/TX LNG terminals will probably be displaced by Brazil and Argentina getting NG before the LA/TX-LNG can get fully on line and longterm/25yr supply contracts. I believe China or even Siberian NG will get to Japan before even NorthSlope can get the supply contracts to Japan. I did a coal-fired power plant in HongKong and as soon as we got approval for the land we switched to NG from south of Hainan (2000mi) and the same could be done with by sea 2400mi from China to south end of Japan. We have lots of problems with RENEGADE Fracking in western US, we have too few local governments compared to back east or parts of California. My(JayHawker) western background is Texass, 4Corners, and south half of Wyoming.

Thanks very much Ted for driving the creation of this Activist Network Team. It will have the important function of tying LNG infrastructure, politics, and operations to the Club's wider and yet considerably localized efforts to prevent the worst kinds of environmental damage from fracking. I hope this team will succeed in creating the critical mass of opposition to the proposed LNG export facility in the near term.

February 29, 2016: Four Years from Today What will our team's first birthday be like? Will we have stopped LNG export from the West Coast, or will we be seeing the triple-attack of thousand of square miles of farms, woodlands, and national forests torn up by pipelines, tanker docking berths gouged out of estuaries, and natural gas prices rising for everyone? Will we have protected air, water, and land across the shale-gas regions of the Rockies from further devastation, or will renegade fracking corporations be continuing to dump toxins and deny responsibility? Will we be much farther down the path to the renewable energy and sustainable ecology and culture we need, or will the extreme fossil fuels industry be continuing to push policies causing climate disruption and crisis?
