This project is to coordinate the Sierra Club's support for implementation of President Obama's National Ocean Policy. We have received an Activist Network grant to help in this endeavor, and are currently recruiting Sierra Club activists to participate in various events in each of the nine National Ocean Policy planning regions. We also will have events for the “Heartland” states not included in NOP planning regions, but whose support will be vital in ensuring Congressional support and funding for implementation of the NOP and its Strategic Action Plans. Our Project will include networking with ENGOs who share our goals.
