Mississippi River Issue

Summary: The Mississippi River Issue Team is working to reduce Nitrogen and Phosphorus pollution in the Mississippi Ecoregion and reduce the Dead Zone in the Gulf of Mexico.

Our Projects

In addition to developing a National Strategy for reducing nitrogen & phosphorus pollution in our waterways, we are supporting the development of state based NaP Teams to help foster development of numeric nitrogen and phosphorus standards in every state throughout the Mississippi Ecoregion.
