TN Climate Action Campaign

Summary: The TN Climate Action Campaign enlists those already alarmed about climate change and who want to do something real about it. In 2012 we will connect climate protection activists within our communities and across Tennessee to move TVA and its distributors to adopt a 1% annual energy efficiency target. to adopt an annually compounded 1% energy efficiency target. Over a ten year period, those energy savings will allow many more TVA coal plants to close.

What You Can Do – Step One: Get a TVA Home Energy Audit
Residential energy use accounts for one-fifth of U.S. carbon emissions, and most of that is from heating and cooling our homes.

If you are a homeowner, ask TVA or your local distributor for a home energy audit. Once you complete the audit, then follow through with at least some of the recommendations. TVA will match up to $500 in weatherization costs and rebate the cost of the audit (if any.)
