Animal Damage Control Harms Wildlife

Wildlife Services (also known as "Animal Damage Control") is a U.S. government program that annually kills tens of thousands of animals that public lands ranchers view as a threat to their livestock.

In this video, Renee Galeano-Popp, former Forest Service range conservationist, botanist, and program manager, gives her views on the program. As a side note, Galeano-Popp is not categorically opposed to ranching on public lands. She also told me at the time of the interview that her brother was a ranch manager for a Native American reservation in Arizona.

This video is an excerpt from Renee Galeano-Popp's interview in Western Turf Wars: The Politics of Public Lands Ranching
